Eucharist

“At the Last Supper, on the night he was betrayed, our Savior instituted the Eucharistic sacrifice of His Body and Blood… a sacrament of love, a sign of unity, a bond of charity.”
— Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1323

The Holy Eucharist is the source and summit of our faith. It completes Christian initiation and draws us deeper into communion with Christ and His Church.

In the celebration of the Eucharist, we:

  • Receive the Body and Blood of Christ

  • Remember and participate in His sacrifice

  • Are spiritually nourished and strengthened

  • Are united with one another in the Body of Christ

What Does the Eucharist Teach Us About God?

The Eucharist—alongside Baptism and Confirmation as part of the Sacraments of Initiation—reminds us of three essential truths:

  1. We Belong to God and Each Other
God desires that we be united with Him and with each other. Through the Eucharist, we form a community of faith and love that reflects the Trinity—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

  2. We Are Nourished and Sent
God feeds us with Christ’s own Body and Blood so that we may become His presence in the world. We are strengthened to love, to serve, and to be a source of spiritual nourishment for others.

  3. We Remember Sacrificial Love
Every Mass is a memorial of Christ’s sacrifice on the cross. The Eucharist reminds us that love often calls for sacrifice—and that Jesus is with us on the journey, offering Himself for us and walking alongside us.

Who Supports This Journey?

While parents are the primary teachers of the faith, our parish offers catechetical support to guide families through preparation.
